Workforce Partnership Resources

Hometown Opportunity (HTO) is a regional job search tool that serves Auglaize, Darke, Mercer, and Shelby Counties and promotes local jobs. Workforce Partnership of Shelby County (WP) recognizes the positive economic impact it provides our businesses in regards to marketing and recruiting. Hometown Opportunity provides an electronic platform for students to explore local companies and in-demand careers. Student registration is accomplished through WP programming, and training is provided on how to navigate the site. As teachers utilize the tool in the classroom, it can educate students about local careers and can establish HTO as their “go-to” source for job searches, with a long-term goal of retaining local talent after high school or college.
